Celebrate Bat Week at EHFPL Oct. 24 – 31

Bat Week 2018: Be a Bat Hero!

Have you heard the good news? Bat Week 2018 kicks off this week!

Bat Week (October 24 – 31) is an annual celebration of the role of bats in nature. To celebrate its fifth year, Bat Conservation International and EHFPL are asking you to step up to the plate and be a bat hero! You don’t need special powers or money to participate. Just visit the library, see our Bats of the World display, pick up some information, fun crafts and a couple of great holiday recipes (a hot toddy for adults, and a banana/chocolate recipe/craft for all ages). Also, take our quiz to find your “bat soulmate.”

Ready to go batty?

This Halloween, there is only one thing left to do – find your soulmate! Bat soulmate, that is. After all, with 1300+ species of bats found worldwide, one of them has to be right for you.

Come to the library, grab a quiz sheet, circle the right answers, give the sheet to Maureen at the library and pick up the results on Halloween, along with fact sheet about your bat soulmate! There is one question sheet for kids and one for adults.

While you’re here, check out some books about bats.

So be a bat hero and celebrate Bat Week with us!

And Coming Soon!
