Three Great April Events . . .

Friday April 20th “The Two-Days Before Earth Day Event – Bats, Brownies and Bananas.”
Did you know that without bats there would be no brownies? Or banana bread? Or cherry pie? Or gingerbread cookies? Over 300 species of fruit depend on bats for pollination. Other fruits, nuts and spices depend on bats to control harmful insects. Come to the display at the EHFPL to learn more and to submit a recipe for our upcoming bat-related book: Bats, Brownies and Bananas: The Library Bats’ Bakery Book. I am looking for any recipe from fruit to nuts. Thanks.

Friday April 27th 7PM @the Grange “What is Autism?”
April is World Autism Month. This library program, presented by the EHLS, will be the first in a series of events to raise awareness about Autism, Special Needs individuals and the members of our community touched by both. How much do you know about autism? Take this quiz and find out:

Saturday April 28th 10AM-2PM @Heritage Park Come to the Library’s table at “Celebrate East Haddam.”
