June June June!
As I write this on a cold and rainy day in May, it’s hard to believe June is just a few days away. Join us for the rollout of our Summer Reading Program on June 21st with lawn games, bubbles, and ice cream at the Rathbun Library from 9:30 – 12:30 (rain date of June 28th). Anastasia, our children’s & teen librarian, has worked with the school librarians to create one reading program for all grades K – 12. We’ll also have an adult summer reading program with prizes for all. Detailed information will be at both libraries.
The “Words from the Woods” book circle is reading The Hidden Life of Trees by Peter Wohlleben for our June 16th meeting at 1:30. We’re meeting across the street at St Stephen’s Episcopal Church where there’s more room. You’re welcome to join us! After June, our next gathering will be on Sep 15th.
Our Friends groups have been busily planning fun summer events including a Tanglewood Marionette presentation of Cinderella on July 13th at the High School. Their productions are beautiful and appeal to all ages, so save the date.
You’ll find all these events and more on our website calendar, so take a look!
